A busy days play.
Some of the things that the children got up to were:
tapping sticks, games exploring senses with blindfolds, collecting blackberries, lighting fires, climbing trees, balancing on logs, finding a buzzard feather, building dens, balancing on the slack line, building swings, weaving, collecting hazelnuts, spotting spiders eggs and creating with clay.
The children spent their time following their own ideas and being innately curious about what they noticed in the woodland. Their deep awareness of the woodland led them to find various interesting fungi, a web of spiders eggs carefully hung on a tree and lots of tracks and holes and evidence of animals which live in the woods. Their interest and fascinations led to a day of creative exploration and independence.
