Last week in the woods

Spring has really sprung in the last couple of weeks and we've enjoyed connecting with a whole range of people.

We spent a lovely afternoon with 'The Good Company People'. We painted pots and planted them with herbs, sang songs and shared some delicious tea, cake and scones in good company with lots of hosts and guests. The sun shone, the wind blew the blossom around and we all connected and had a great afternoon celebrating how far 'The Good Company People' have come. Later in the week we went on to meet some more lovely individuals who will be coming to be involved with Sawpit Woods.

In our sessions this week we have spent time amongst the bluebells. We've looked, observed, smelt, listened, created, designed, bashed, drawn, carved, cut, peeled, swung, rested, pushed, gazed, relaxed, chatted, climbed, bounced, dug and noticed and connected with nature and each other.

We joined the 'Children's Forest' tree choir and had a lovely time sharing gratitudes for this time of year, whilst learning some magical songs about trees around a fire.

There are eggs in the birds nest in the wood store, so we've been really careful not to disturb them and will keep an ear out in the coming weeks. In the meantime we are enjoying the sunshine and the burst of growth of the plants, flowers and wildlife in and around the woods which this season brings.
