Sawpit Woods CIC is run by a small but passionate team, who primarily work in a voluntary capacity to support the events at the wood, and help more people connect to this special place.

Em co-founded Sawpit Woods with a lifelong connection to the land. She now co-manages Hodore Farm, weaving together her land-based passions with the joy of bringing people to the woods.

Coppice Club
Toby heads up our woodworking area and leads our SoundCamp and dawn chorus celebration each spring.
Jaz
Co-Director
Jaz joined as Co-Director in 2025, leading communications and community engagement. She believes meaningful connection with nature is essential for people, planet and systems change.

Communications Volunteer
Ben supports Sawpit Woods communications and attends regularly with his family.
Lou
Founder & Co-Director
Lou co-founded Sawpit Woods and did much of the hard work bringing it to life. She has recently stepped down as Director but remains our biggest fan.
