The sun shone and we had a marvellous Monday afternoon!
It was all birds, blossom and bluebells.
We tried to hear and spot as many birds as we could on our wander to the woods.
with the help of our eyes, id sheets, binoculars, ears and a bird sound app we identified; a magpie, robin, blackbird, pigeon, song thrush, great tit, willow warbler, crow, duck and moorhens.
There was time to place our toy birds in many different places along the meadow side, track, bushes and trees and to look out for birds nests. We found some in trees and one which a wren has been building in our rope in the wood shed!
We had a snack and drinks in the woods and then drew and painted some of the birds we had seen.
