Autumn Tuesday

The Autumn weather has set in and there has been dampness in the air and on the ground.

Puddles to jump in, leaves to collect and Autumn treasure to discover.

We made an Autumn Mandala on the woodland floor with our finds. Plentiful acorns, some crab apples, conkers, some 'soft 'things, spiky things, coloured things, sticks and leaf kebabs. And some handcrafted candles from the wax of a babybel!

There was digging, log climbing, swinging, painting and hanging out in dens to be done. And a nice cup of warming tea, hot juice and chat around the fire.

We lit the candles and thought of Autumn and all the things we are thankful for.

"I'm thankful for my friends and family, because I can talk to them when I need to and they listen to me"

"I'm thankful for Forest School"

"I'm thankful for nature and being able to be with it in the woods"

"I'm thankful that we can meet and be together and play in the woods"

"I'm thankful for the world"

We are thankful that the woods are an enabling space for connection with friends and with nature this Autumn.
