Foraging, floral fun

We started the week arranging flowers and foliage foraged from the garden, fields and woods.

With quiet, creativity comes conversation and the building of connections between people.

The floral arrangements were beautiful, but it is the social connections which are being created, that are the take home parts of the day. We laughed at stories of rock bands, gloried in amazing music and animations we collectively admired and talked of tales from childhood.

Later on the children foraged their way busily and sociably to the woods. Teams of small foragers each with a different goal for their finds.

Some wanted to take the blackberries home to cook, some used them to make paint.

And at the end of the day, after swinging, snacking, socialising and climbing, we were all suitably tired and full of the joys of connections with each other and autumn.
