Today the children wandered the woodland. Firstly there are the bramble bushes to pick from on the walk down to the woods from the farmyard. Then the children moved onto a tree climbing, woods snapping kind of wander. They then made 'log dogs' by sawing up the wood they had collected. They had a go at tying knots to make leads and designed faces. Some even had a go at hammering some leaf ears on their dogs before naming their hounds. It was then time to take the animals for a walk, through woods, paths, fields and ditches. We even managed to find a tiny stream spring to give them a drink in the heat.
