Meadows

The children are very inspired by the grassy meadows we travel through on our way to the woods. Their curiosity is endless, with playing games and getting really up close with the creatures and plants that they find.

Subsequently butterflies were created using pastels, card and hazel sticks to make them flutter around, imitating the movements they had seen in the meadows.

The children are really getting interested in using tools to carve and create with. this week, they were using peelers to practice their whittling and basic technique and then some moved onto making feathered arrows, using beautiful guinea fowl feathers and some children tried to create small mushrooms from freshly cut hazel.
