We started the week with a bit of inspiration at Sheffield Park gardens. The amazing colours were great and we took a stroll up the the woodland trail, to gain some inspiration from the woodland structures they have in some of their woodland.
Our first session involved using fire strikers to light a fire for the first time. The children persevered really well and managed to create some warmth in their woodland. They really enjoyed playing '1,2,3 change tree!"
The darkness surrounded the second session, which didn't stop firelighting and bridge building! The children used their head torches to light their hammock swinging, drilling, firelighting, digging and general adventuring in the darkness.
