We have planted about 200 trees and hedgerow plants since 2020 for our new woodland. Come and bring your own spade and enthusiasm to join us to mulch and care for and tend them and celebrate and learn about the woodland.

About the event
Come and spend a day with us in the woods. Children, teenagers, adults, carers, babes in arms....anyone of any age is welcome!
In the Autumn of 2020 we aquirred 200 saplings from the Woodland Trust as part of their Community Tree planting inititive. We planted them out throughout 2020 and 2021 with 'The Children's Forest' and our weekly groups and they need a bit of love and nurturing to help them on their way. So come and learn a bit about the woodland and it's uses and management and join us in exploring a bit of the space in Sawpit Woods, connect with nature and become part of the community yourselves.
You will need your own spades and gloves, a cup for hot drinks and a packed lunch or snacks to sustain you throughout the day. Bring a bit of 'veg for the pot' and we can make a fire and cook ourselves up a summer soup to have with our lunch. We can provide the trees, the space, nature connection, a shelter and some hot water to make a hot drink on a hopefully beautiful day.
Any donanations will be used to support the ongoing maintanance of the woodland and the trees and to support future community events at Sawpit Woods.
